Summary of business enterprises
It was my father who laid the foundation of my business enterprises, which I inherited and nurtured to the present status. The flag ship companies Shree Pashupati Biscuit Industries and Shree Mahalaxmi Maida Mills were the pioneers in establishing my entity as an industrialist of repute in the country. These two companies were among the earliest industries in their respective field and went on to become a bench mark in quality products similar to my other endeavors.
With passage of time, I established Flexible Packaging Industry and Instant Meal in the same industrial corridor in Duhabi, Biratnagar. These all four industries well supplement each other with self sufficiency in major raw material and packing material requirements.
Almost 1,000 people are directly dependent for their livelihood on these industries in the region which not only gives me a sense of achievement but also a sense of responsibility and concern. The revenue generated by these companies contributes to the national economy and assists in local development.
Another unit of Instant Meal established in the Western region of the country in Semari, Bhairawa in the year 2006 is already a major revenue earner for the National exchequer besides generating employment for the local population.
During early nineties, I established Norvic International Hospital in Kathmandu which I am proud to acknowledge as having met my expectations after some initial hiccups. The Hospital has gained from strength to strength with more expansion plans in place. It is already another bench mark for the service industry in this region. The Hospital provides direct livelihood to approximately 500 people. It also contributes substantial foreign exchange to the National Treasury by way of treating a large number of foreign patients.
As I look back, it gives me immense satisfaction at what I have achieved in life but at the same time I always feel a lot remains still to be fulfilled.
